Every woman is prone to cellulite. It's not a documented disease of the body, but it does affect our appearance and self esteem in a big way. We all want to find a way to get rid of the lumps and bumps on our thighs, butt and hips...even the skinny women! One of the best ways to reduce the appearance of cellulite is exercise.

The best exercise to get rid of cellulite incorporates activities to firm the underlying muscles while burning fat and ridding the body of toxins. Cellulite can be a very difficult condition to deal with and does not go away easily. Unfortunately, there needs to be a committed change in your lifestyle and diet to see the results of your endeavors. This includes eating a healthy diet, drinking lots of water, exercise to rid cellulite on a regular basis and taking time to relax and breath in life to free your body of trapped toxins and other waste that are causing the problem.

You may be surprised to know that exercise to rid cellulite is the most effective yet least expensive way to smooth out the areas of concern. Managing to exercise on a regular basis for long periods of time is highly recommended. It not only improves the overall shape of the body, but keeps the skin and hair healthy, bringing oxygen to the underlying tissue layers. Everyone wants great abs but very few people know how to properly make them stand out. No matter what the commercials say, you simply cannot do thousands of reps on their exercise devices and expect to get washboard abs. This article is intended to give you the knowledge successfully needed to achieve a six pack and will also tell you the best exercises to do to achieve one.

According to dictionary.com, the abdominals is defined as of, or related to that of the abdomin, but the definition goes beyond that. There are five different sections of the abdomin muscle that need to be targeted separately. The external and internal obliques allow for lateral flexion of the trunk. The rectus abdominus allows flexion and lateral flexion of the trunk. The transverse abdominis compresses the abdomin and the erector spinae allows for extension of the trunk.

About.com says that the Bicycle exercise is the best at targeting the rectus abdominus and the obliques. It also states the Captain`s Chair as the second most effective ab exercise because it primarily targets the rectus abdomis and obliques. About.com also states other good exercises such as the Exercise Ball Crunch, Vertical Leg Crunch, Torso Track, and Long Arm Crunch.

Whatever exercises you choose, it is important that you emphasize the three most important sections that make up the abs: The lower, upper, and obliques. Some peole train these sections separately on different days and take the fourth day off. Others just train them when ever they are board, and some don`t even train them at all.

No matter how you decide to train them, it is very important that you emphasize diet and cardio exercise as the most important factor in getting a six-pack. You don`t need fat loss drugs to achieve good abs, but they do help decrease your craving for food and give you a boost of energy in the gym. Good luck with your abs, see you next time.

Get Rid Of Cellulite Quickly and Effectively

So you want to get rid of cellulite. You want a lovely, smooth body, free from all those lumps and bumps which cellulite causes? Cellulite is caused by a change to the fat stored immediately under the skin, which causes it to form into little lumps which give the characteristic orange peel effect to the skin. This is a great exercise, which not only reduces the amount of this fat and helps you to get rid of cellulite, but also gives a smoother appearance to your skin and can be used by both men and women!

The way to get rid of cellulite is to reduce the excess fat under the skin to a minimum. The exercise to achieve this requires some equipment. You have to be able to lie comfortably down on your stomach. You can get rid of cellulite with a good leg extension while lying on your stomach, so a low table, bench or even hard bed will do; something you can lie on with your legs overhanging the end.

You will also need a set of dumbbells from around 10 to 30 lb. You will start with the lower weight and work up to the higher. You can start lower than 10 if you must, but since it�s a hard form of fat, you won�t get rid of cellulite without some effort.

Lie down flat on your stomach, with your legs overhanging the bench or bed (knees at the edge). Hold the weights between the arches of both feet (get someone to help position them if you can), then raise you feet as high as you can, bending at the knees. You can rest on your elbows if this helps. Drop the feet again as low as possible and repeat. The number of repetitions is up to you, but a good starting point would be 10 repetitions, rest 5 minutes, then another 10. The quicker you want to get rid of cellulite, the more repetitions you should carry out.

Once it gets easier, switch to two sets of 20 repetitions. Once you are able to do this with ease, change to a higher weight. You should work at this over time until you are able to carry out 30 repetitions with the 30 lb weight. You will be able to get rid of cellulite in no time, and your legs will be much stronger.

As you increase the weight above around 15lb, you should protect your ankles. The exercises can be carried out wearing ankle socks, but shoes or trainers will be necessary as protection with the higher weights. This will avoid both abrasion and possible injury if the weights slip. It will also be essential to have someone available to position the heavier weights between your feet.

Once you become experienced with this exercise, you can also pick up the weights with your hands, and raise both arms and legs with the weights. This will not only enable you get rid of cellulite, but will strengthen your leg, arm and back muscles. Do not attempt these exercises if you have any back problems.

Keep this up for about 15 minutes a day for a couple of weeks, and you will find your legs becoming smoother, and the cellulite disappearing. The exercise is designed to get rid of cellulite and is extremely effective.

Exercise and Your Plastic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery can make an exciting and lasting difference in the way your face and body look. Many see the results as 'life-changing'. You will feel more confident and positive about yourself. It marks the beginning of a new attitude about you and your health. When you look good you'll want to maintain that appearance. Not surprisingly, many start incorporating exercise and better eating habits into their daily routine, habits that will help you look and feel younger longer. The better your physical condition is prior to surgery, the better your surgical outcome will be. Elective surgery will give you time to prepare to be as healthy as possible. An added bonus for those who are fit beforehand is they won't gain as much weight when they are inactive after surgery. Because you have more muscle from an active lifestyle your metabolism will remain higher. You will be given strict instructions by your doctor on when to return to an exercise regimen. It's usually three to four weeks after a facelift, and a month after any type of body surgery, like breast augmentation or liposuction. Once back to working out or starting up for the first time then it's best to build up slowly.

EXERCISE PROGRAM

You've had the surgery you wanted, the results are great...but how do you keep yourself looking slimmer and younger. The operative phrase may be "getting into a routine". To get results you need to train a minimum of three times each week, If you do it twice, you will maintain your current fitness but it'll be difficult to see any esthetic change. The cornerstone of your workout should be strength training. You lose a pound of muscle every year after thirty and your metabolism slows down. The optimum strength training is for roughly 45-55 minutes three times per week. But if you are short of time, concentrate on the large muscle groups, like legs and chest. These are the core of strength training. Cardio should be at least three times a week or more. I recommend three to four weekly sessions of moderate cardio lasting about 50 minutes and one twenty-minute intense session. The cardio must be aerobic, so your heartbeat remains at an elevated rate with activities like cycling, running and fast walking are examples. Tennis and squash don't qualify. Here's a good tip! Do your cardio after your weightlifting as your glycogen levels are down and you'll burn more fat. Flexibility is another important aspect of fitness, one people often neglect if they're rushing. You don't get old then stiff, 'You get stiff, then old."

I recommend doing stretches anywhere, anytime, while watching television, in the shower, even at your desk. I take my strength training clients through a dynamic stretch to warm up for every workout , then end the workout with a static stretch for lasting flexibility gains. But what about those people who really just don't like to exercise? The secret is to get a program that is tailored to you. A personalized program can be really motivating and there are so many options to choose from. Hiring a personal trainer can help you create a program that works for you. Classes are another way to put some fun into your routine. Pilates, yoga, spinning, step aerobics, there are lots to choose from.

NUTRITION

If you want to decrease body fat and increase lean tissue, sixty per cent of your success will be determined by diet. If you are not getting enough proteins, fruits and vegetables, carbohydrates and water, the muscle won't regenerate itself. I recommend 3 meals and 2 snacks. If your meals are too far apart, the body holds onto the fuel because it doesn't know when the next meal will come. It saves fat for survival. When meals are too large your blood sugar spikes, causing insulin to spike causing fat storage yet again. Carbs are getting a lot of attention these days: are they good, bad or half-way in between? I recommend meals that contain lean protein, a vegetable, and a 'good' carbohydrate. Try and eat a low glycemic index carb, like sweet potatoes or real oatmeal. These carbs have a slow and consistent release of sugar into the bloodstream. This keeps your insulin levels nice and low. I don't like diets like Atkins which are too high in fat, and I'm not a proponent of The Zone Diet, but you should watch your carb intake.

I prefer clients keep a food diary for a couple of weeks. You become accountable and start thinking a lot more about what your eating. I stress the importance of consistency and regular eating habits. Try to eat twenty-one meals a week and don't skip them. Breakfast is your most important meal. I usually make an egg white omlette with spinach and feta cheese. (Lunch is usually chicken or fish with salad, and dinner is similar, usually with salad). Of course, there is no secret formula to getting fit. It's a matter of planning ahead and working hard. But the results are worth it if you can make it work. Set realistic and attainable goals for exercise and diet or you'll fall off the wagon. They must also be challenging to make changes. It usually takes 45 to 60 days to see that change and you will feel so much better about yourself. Just remember, nutrition and exercise go hand in hand for your best results before and after surgery.
